FRANCISTOWN: After a flying start, former Botswana Premier League (BPL) side, TAFIC has vowed to maintain the rich vein of form in the Debswana First Division North league.

The team’s performance has seen it perched at the top of the league after 10 games with 21 points and is two points ahead of second-placed Mbalakalungu after the same number of games.

The rise of Matjimenyenga is in stark contrast to its performance last year when it survived relegation to Botswana’s third-tier league by a whisker. TAFIC was saved by BPL rookies, Eleven Angels, from relegation after the latter clobbered Mochudi Centre Chiefs 5-0 in a promotional playoff at the old Francistown Stadium.
