Team Botswana continues to struggle in swimming at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after Maxine Egner could not progress to the semi-finals in the women’s 100m freestyle.

Speaking after the event, Egner said she was not happy about her time, finishing third and 27th overall. “You learn from different races. I will be moving to America for training at Virginia Tech and that will make me improve and qualify for the next Olympics,” she said.
