DMSS Gators dominate swimming championships :: Mmegi Online

Gaborone-based DMSS Gators swimming club proved their mettle as they dominated the sixth edition of the annual DMSS Gators Gala which was held at the University of Botswana (UB) swimming pool from April 9 to12.

The swimming gala is the second biggest in Botswana after the Botswana National Championships and attracted over 320 competitors and it was the last local one of the 2025-2026 season. DMSS Gators won the overall competition with 2, 419 points, with Gaborone Aquatics Centre finishing in second position with 639 points and Propellers Sports Academy finished third with 619 points.

The Meet director who is also DMSS Gators vice secretary, Leungo Tebogo, told Sport Monitor that the swimming gala also attracted swimmers from Bulawayo Amateur Swimming Association (BASA) from Zimbabwe and Aquarius Aquatics Swimming Club from South Africa.
