The Botswana Swimming Sport Association (BSSA) is seeking to raise P5 million to fund the hosting of the Zone IV Aquatic Championships, scheduled for September 2 to 5 in Gaborone BSSA president, Kgaotsang Matthews told MmegiSport that preparations for the event were going well, although they are still pushing for sponsorship negotiations to be concluded.

She added they will soon announce the names of the sponsors.

“It is our time to host on the Zone IV roster,” Matthews said. “Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) gave us absolutely no issues when we approached them in 2024 about hosting the championships.”
