Maele suspends BUAN Vice Chancellor

The Minister of Higher Education, Prince Maele, has suspended Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (BUAN) Vice Chancellor Professor Ketlhatlogile Mosepele with immediate effect, in a dramatic move that throws the leadership of the institution into uncertainty.

BUAN announced today (Monday) that the suspension follows a recommendation by its council.

"In line with university policy and good governance principles, the University Council has appointed Professor Wellington Masamba as Acting Vice Chancellor to ensure continuity of operations and academic activities during this period," BUAN said in the statement.
