It was the first victory by a local side in this stage of the competition as Lesagaripa are making their second group stages appearance. Ramoreboli, following the win, stormed out of the post match press conference after a Moroccan journalist insinuated that Galaxy used muti or black magic in their historic win.

"You are being unfair," Ramoreboli told the journalist. "I said they were doing warm up, they did warm up before the game. You are undermining me, you are saying we won because of black magic, don't disrespect us," Ramoreboli said in a widely shared video on social media platforms.
