Unpaid coach to finally dump TAFIC?

FRANCISTOWN: It could be the end of the road between TAFIC and their long-suffering coach who has gone for five straight months without being paid.

The fresh faced Dominic Changwe reportedly survived on hand-outs from club officials in lieu of his salary.Reports reaching Mmegi Sport are to the effect that after enduring months of frustration without getting his salary, Changwe is throwing in the towel and probably heading back home to Zambia. In January this year, the coach failed to send his family back home on time after the Christmas break because he was not paid his monthly dues.

It is said that Changwe, who is contracted to the Machimenyenga boys until the end of the coming season, will leave the country if he does not get suitable offers from local clubs. Yesterday Changwe confirmed that he has not been paid, but downplayed reports that he was on the verge of leaving the club. "It is not only me who has not been paid. Even the players are yet to get their dues. I am waiting patiently to get my dues. I want to go back home and sort a few personal things and return for pre-season. "However if the right offer comes my way, locally or elsewhere, I will not mind leaving TAFIC," he said.
