The Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) club championships that were held over the weekend meant a lot to Sensei George Tshikare and Sensei Peter Molefhe.

The two coaches had a score to settle as the two former ‘buddies’ used to be the national team coaches, with Molefhe being the assistant. Things changed when Molefhe left Kofukan in 2014 and joined Hayashi-Ha and to add cherry on  top, he was appointed the national team head coach in 2016.

On the other hand, pride was at stake between Kofukan and Hayashi-Ha athletes who wanted to prove that they are the best. Pressure was on Kofukan who wanted to retain the championship. At the end of it all, Kofukan emerged the 2016 champions.
