Mahalapye Hotspurs have made wholesome changes which they believe will take them back to top-flight soccer.

Hotspurs recently overhauled their committee and surprisingly appointed former national team goalkeeper, Kagiso Tshelametsi as goalkeeper coach. He will also serve as additional committee member. Although Hotspurs find themselves in mid-table, the club's public relations officer, Dindi Ranthoka said they have identified challenges hindering their progress. Ranthoka said the management met two weeks ago to identify problems that have been holding the team back. He told Mmegi Sport that the meeting concluded that divisions in the club have been hampering progress. They observed that the management is divided and this has filtered down to the team.

"Apparently some within management had divided the players and this made the coach's job difficult. It was difficult to discipline the players under such circumstances and maybe the team has been lucky not to relegate. But what is important now is not to point fingers because everybody has accepted their role in creating the crisis," he said.
