Tonota, Kazungula case referred to DC

FRANCISTOWN: First Division North League committee last week referred to the Botswana Football Association (BFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC) a case of violence involving First Division North sides, Tonota FC and Kazungula for further adjudication because it involves elements of violence.

Setlalekgosi Gate, acting First Division North League chairperson presided over the matter last Thursday night in Francistown. First Division North League committee had also received reports from both the match commissioner, Khomela Khomela and the referee, Goodman Kenneth jointly prepared with his two assistants, Michael Vakacha and Kagiso Othusitse.

Gate announced that the league committee cannot deal with their case because it involves "serious elements of violence."We do not deal with issues of violence at this level. Therefore your matter has been referred to the DC for adjudication," said Gate.He further declared Kazungula Young Fighters as the winner of the game saying the game was not aborted. Gate said by the time the alleged violence on match officials ensued, the 90 minutes duration of the game had already elapsed with the home side leading 2-0.
