Spartans aim high after recruitments

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Spartans aim to win the Mascom volleyball league in the next three seasons after injecting new blood in their line-up.

With Boitumelo Morale, Driller Sibanda, central blocker, Tower Gobotsamang and national team setter, Morris Sibinyane, Spartans believe they have a strong squad capable of competing against the best. Spartans' spokesperson, Goitsemodimo Letamo said the new players have fitted well and the team will improve its current fifth position on the log. Spartans have lost twice in seven games.

The league will take a break after this weekend's games till September. Letamo is critical of the break, arguing it will affect their momentum. He lamented that in most cases, they are fixtured to play away games which disadvantages them as their supporters are denied the opportunity to watch their team.
