Selolwane hopes for first League title

When Botswana international Diphetogo 'Dipsy' Selolwane left Ajax Cape Town at the end of last season to join three-time league champions Supersport United, many wondered if it was a good move for him.

This was because Supersport United midfield is packed and the former Gaborone United (GU) star risked being relegated to the bench. However, he seems to know what he was doing. "When Gavin Hunt (Supersport coach) recruited me, I believe that he saw something in me and I had confidence that I'll feature in the team. The level of competition here is high and I'm glad that I've found a new home. As the defending champions, we're expected to win every game and the coach expects the best from us," he told Sport Monitor on Friday morning.

Selolwane said that he was motivated to join Supersport United because he wants to win the league title. He added that he has never won a league title in his football career and his current club has what it takes to end the drought. "We're going to be a target for a number of sides but I've confidence we can do enough (defend the title)," he added.
