Lesley Sekotswe beat Tinashe Nwadziwane from Zimbabwe in a closely contested six-round boxing match at the Botswana National Youth Council Hall Thursday night.

This was Sekotswe’s first fight in over a year. In the first round, Nwadziwane had problems in punching because he was shorter than Sekotswe who continued his dominance in the second round. The Botswana fighter managed to bounce back in the fifth and final round.

Sekotswe told Monitor Sport that he was forced to retreat because his opponent was shorter.
