Rollers� Women Side Conquer GU

Township Rollers proved why they are the dominant force on the local scene when they edged Gaborone United (GU) 1-0 in the HeForShe Target 20,000 campaign match at the National Stadium on Saturday.

Popa won the cup and P20,000 while GU were consoled with P10,000.

GU were the better team in the opening exchanges, but the Blues warmed up as the match wore. The Reds’ clear cut opportunity arrived after 20 minutes following a mix-up between Rollers defender, Masego Montsho and her goalkeeper Refilwe Buile, and Masego Koboto almost punished the slackness, seeing her effort go wide.
