Ramogae finds sanctuary in rugby after dumping netball

Her first love was netball, but 21-year-old Lapologang Ramogae soon discovered her talents lay in the tough tackling and bruising world of rugby. Contrary to expectations, it has been a seamless climb up the rugby ladder for her.

Born in Ntlhantlhe, near Otse, Ramogae has found an accommodating sanctuary in rugby after deciding to drop netball.

Few women have chased their rugby dream in a sport that largely remains the preserve of men.
