The differences within professional boxing circles has led to delays in the affiliation of Professional Boxing Association of Botswana (PBAB) to the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC).

BNSC chief executive officer, Falcon Sedimo told Monitor Sport that PBAB has met the requirements needed to be an affiliate. He said the challenge is that there are some differences within the body.

“When PBAB approached us seeking affiliation, we gave them the requirements such as that they should have registered with Registrar of Societies and that they should be having active clubs. We then had a meeting where it was established that there were some individuals who had interest in professional boxing,” he said.
