Nyumasi shines on his maiden voyage

FRANCISTOWN: He may not be a contender for any of the be MOBILE premier league awards, but ECCO City Greens Zimbabwean attacking mid fielder, Tendai Nyumasi, has managed to live up to the hype that surrounded his move to the club last July.

The 27-year old arrived at the club during the last transfer window from Zambian Premier League outfit ZANACO FC amid much fanfare. The Zambian club had signed the player from Zimbabwean division one team Douglas Warriors in 2008."Aboutrika" as the player is affectionately called, signed a two-year deal with ECCO after the team's sacked Zambian mentor Chris Tembo lured him to the Francistown-based side from the Zambian giants.

Despite missing only five games in the just ended season, the player has been a vital player for ECCO since his arrival and is credited for steering the club to victory with his neat displays on the pitch on numerous occasions this year. Consequentially, the player capped his magnificent debut season in the country by scoring 11 goals during ECCO's impressive league campaign.
