Obakeng Ngwigwa has broken new ground after he was appointed technical director of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA).

 The former 400 metres runner started work on October 1.

Ngwigwa told Mmegi Sport from his new base in Abuja, Nigeria, that the four-year contract entails monitoring Olympic solidarity programmes for the African National Olympic committees (NOCs) and to encourage the update of the programmes by the member countries.
