Molefe returns as BPL

The Botswana Premier League (BPL) board has elected Uniao Flamengo Santos chairperson, Mokganedi Molefe as the new chairperson at a board meeting held on Saturday in Gaborone.

Molefe's election follows the resignation of Segolame Ramotlhwa who has been serving on interim basis.Ramotlhwa left following the change of leadership at his team, Notwane, which has been turned into a company. The team now falls under the company, Gift Mogapi Global Holdings (GMG), owned by businessman, Kealeboga Mogapi. Molefe will now head the board for the second time.

He has served in the position before he left and replaced by David Mmui. Mmui is currently awaiting his hearing with the Botswana Football Association (BFA) disciplinary committee (DC). He, together with the then treasurer, William Maboane were suspended after allegations that they loaned themselves cash advances of P12, 000 and P20, 000 respectively.
