The Kanye-born athlete finished the 100m in 10.5 seconds before clocking 20.84 seconds in the 200m. The national championships were his last competitive race ahead of the Africa event scheduled for August 1 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kenosi told Mmegi Sport said he was happy with his progress ahead of the 17th edition of the Africa Championships. "My preparations have gone on well so far and it was evident in the races I ran last weekend. I am happy with the way I performed but I still need to improve on my times especially in the 200m race," he said.
