Botswana Tertiary Student Sport Association (BOTESSA) public relations officer, Duncan Segabo says lack of sporting facilities at most universities and colleges limits students’ sport choices.

He said the most affected sport codes are swimming, boxing, judo and karate. Segabo said it is not that their main focus is on ball games and athletics, arguing their involvement is limited by lack of facilities.

“Lack of some sporting facilities in the institutions spoil the students’ choice in sport when they get to universities and colleges,” Segabo revealed. “As an association, we highly encourage and support such athletes when they go for competitions,” he said.
