Botswana's sprinter Fanuel Kenosi rolled up his G4S 4teen programme on a high, joining other athletes to watch a premiere of the G4S 4teen documentary in Haile Gebrselassie's cinema in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Kenosi has just returned from Addis Ababa and singles the highlight of the trip as watching his Gebrselassie’s documentary that chronicles his monumental medal haul throughout his long distance running career. The 200m sprinter, Kenosi, was part of the just-ended G4S 4teen programme which was set up in 2007 to support 14 young athletes from 13 countries around the world on their journey to achieving their sporting  ambitions.Under the program, Kenosi has been mentored by double Olympic champion and 28 time world record holder, Gebrselassie. The recent trip, his second to Addis, was to celebrate the success of the programme.

Kenosi thanked sponsors, singling them out as the reason he was at the Beijing Olympic Games. I can never say thank you enough to G4S for this opportunity, they have changed my life," he said.He added: Without them I would not have competed in Beijing 2008 and now I am going to focus on Rio 2016.The 25-year-old has gotten over the heartbreak of missing the 2012 London Olympics, saying he will use the advice given by Gebrselassie to conquer Rio 2016.Haile has given me some great advice over the years and one thing I remember well is that he made me believe I can achieve anything. He stressed against all odds, I could become someone and I have done exactly that and I will continue to do that," said a grateful Kenosi. The multiple medal winner, Gebrselassie, hailed G4S for plumping for the 14 athletes. As I know from the early years of my career, it is essential that young athletes receive the help and support they need to develop and succeed.
