It's make-or-break as TAFIC hold AGM

FRANCISTOWN: TAFIC, stung by serious cracks, will convene a crucial Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the YWCA offices here tomorrow.

The club's leadership and supporters have in the past year or so been deeply divided over the privatisation of the club. Supporters and the Humphrey Nawa chaired committee have been pulling in different directions regarding the manner in which the red-and-white striped outfit is being run. A verbal war between supporters and the committee has been raging for a long time.

The committee has been accusing supporters of showing little support towards the club's cause while the fans have accused the leadership of turning the club into their personal property. And tomorrow, it is a make-or-break meeting for both parties. The TAFIC family is expected to introspect and discuss the affairs of the club and chart the way forward. Confirming the meeting yesterday, Nawa said tomorrow's AGM is an elective one and urged TAFIC supporters to come in large numbers to help resolve outstanding issues and ensure club growth.
