Gaborone Hogs have had a good run this season winning the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) Super League and bagging the 7s championships over the weekend.

Hogs won the 7s title after beating Jwaneng 38-0 in the final. Hogs pocketed P5,000 while Jwaneng received P3,000. The marauding Hogs did not have mercy as they walloped UB Rhinos 24-0 in the semi-final.

On the other hand, Jwaneng crushed BDF Cheetahs’ dreams of retaining the cup by beating them 24-17 in the semi-final.
Hogs coach, Jeremy Baggage said the game plan going into the tournament was to win it. “I had a team that comprised young and experienced players. I had a solid plan of making sure that they click and that is exactly what happened. My youngsters were able to run with the ball and enjoyed
themselves,” he said.
