High-riding Notwane part ways with coach

The elite league coaches merry go around has spilled to the second tier football, the First Division South league, as third-placed Notwane have parted ways with Israel Molao.

“Coach Israel Molao has been temporarily relieved from his duties, performance audit will be conducted to map the way forward,” a statement briefly reads.

The decision comes after new comers, Broadhurst United ended Toronto Boys’ unbeaten streak in a 2-1 loss over the weekend. Notwane at some point opened a five point lead at the top of the log but a four-game winless run, which includes three draws and a loss, saw them drop to the third spot with 22 points, just a point behind log leaders, Prisons XI.
