GNT, Hotspurs in-do-or-die battle

Mochudi Buffaloes would know their opponents in the plays-off for promotion to the Premier League tonight after the eagerly awaited battle between Great North Tigers (GNT) and Mahalapye Hotspurs at the Selebi-Phikwe Stadium.

The two First Division North sides have been ordered to play each other again to decide who will meet Buffaloes in the play-off. The game kicks off at 7pm. The duel became necessary after GNT beat Hotspurs 3-1 last weekend in a replay of the two sides' abandoned game.

The game ended prematurely with GNT leading 2-0. BFA awarded the game to GNT but Hotspurs appealed the decision and got a reprieve last week after they were initially blamed for the abandonment. The Appeal's Committee ruled that the game be replayed last weekend in Francistown and GNT ended up 3-1 victors.
