Gaborone One wallop Lobatse-Kanye

Rookies, Gaborone One displayed some disciplined and tactical fielding to wallop Lobatse-Kanye by 67 runs in a T20 match at the Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) Oval in Gaborone on Sunday.

Lobatse-Kanye skipper, Abdul Rauf Shaikh, won the toss and elected to field first with Arief Malik bowling the first over. Gaborone One opening batsmen, Rashaad Mosweu and Inzimam Master started off with confidence and took advantage of every ball. Master struck a number of boundaries and by the fourth over, Gaborone One was on 42 runs for no wickets.

In the fifth over, Lobatse-Kanye strengthened their fielding but the first wicket fell in the 10th over and 87 runs when Abdul Malik bowled out Mosweu. Wassem Tajby came in but did not last long and he was run out by Arif Malik after two runs.
