Botswana Amateur Fencing Society (BAFS) has elected new committee for the first time since fencing was established in 2007. Seven clubs; Serowe, Tlokweng, Mogoditshane, Westwood, Legae, Sir Seretse Khama and University of Botswana Fencing Club attended the elective meeting.

Mandla Masuku is the new president after ousting Gaolathe Modongo who had served for two years.

Modongo was seeking another term after he was to take charge in 2015 and believed he had taken fencing to new levels.
