The female Zebras migfht not take part in the COSAFA Cup

The Female Zebras are to take part in this year’s edition of the COSAFA Senior Women Challenge to take place in Zimbabwe in August but the Botswana Football Association (BFA) may be forced to skip the tournament due to financial constraints.

Speaking to Mmegi Sport yesterday, the BFA chief executive officer, Ookeditse Malesu said the association is yet to confirm the team’s participation.

“The wish is to go and participate at the competition but the question is if we can, looking at our current financial situation. We will have to find sources of funds for the tournament,” he said.
