FRANCISTOWN: ECCO City Greens climbed to second spot in the Debswana First Division North league log over the weekend after a 1-0 home win over former leaders, Sua Flamingoes.

Mamoja Diski had a bad start to the season with two losses from the two opening games, but has been on an upward trajectory ever since. Mamoja are six points behind leaders, Mahalapye Hotspurs on 29 points while Sua fell a point below. The former beMOBILE Premiership outfit said their mission has always been to regain their elite league status.

“We are pushing to the number one spot and the team is slowly getting there. We meet Hotspurs here and our intention is to beat them. They have a good number of points and if they can maintain their run we will settle for the number two spot,” said ECCO assistant coach, States Gaothuse.
