Cricket fans urged to attend games

To get Batswana interested in cricket, the Botswana Cricket Association (BCA) will embark on an awareness programme nationwide to sell the sport.

. This is in response to the realisation that the sport fails to attract support from the locals.

In fact, BCA and Gaborone Cricket Club officials have gone further, pleading with the public to attend local games in order to support particularly the young and upcoming players. The appeal comes ahead of the mini World Cup, which starts on Friday.
