COSAFA Cup Excitement Returns

With the Zebras now out of the race to qualify for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, all is not lost as the team will have another opportunity to regroup and redeem themselves as the Confederation of Southern Africa Associations (COSAFA) senior challenge makes a return next month.

The tournament, which was last held in 2009, makes a return after three years and will be hosted by Zambia from July 6-13th. The sponsors, South African Breweries, through their Castle Lager brand have already started activations for the competition.The cup was in Botswana at the Phakalane Golf Estate on Friday for the official media and stakeholders launch.

Speaking at the launch, Castle brand marketing manager for Africa David Maninja said they want to bring some exciting moments to their consumers who had missed the challenge for the past few years.He said they had lined up a number of fun activities in countries where Castle brand is available including Botswana, and consumers will stand a chance to win big prizes. Among the main prizes is a trip to watch the challenge in Zambia.The activations will be done in the media through competitions.
