SELEBI PHIKWE: Francistown City Greens beat Mahalapye Hotspurs 4-3 on penalties to retain their First Division Status on a Saturday afternoon at Nico United grounds.

The result relegates Amahot to second division. The game started on a high tempo with both teams showing attacking instincts. It was after 13minutes of play when Hotspurs took control of the game starving Mamoja possession.

They played nice interchanges with opponents chasing the shadows and their dominance almost paid off in 18th minute. Omphile Mothathobi collected from the middle and played in their striker Mogomotsi Tlou whose low shot was saved by City Green shot stopper. Hotspurs launched another electrifying attack in the 23rd minute, Amantle Motswetla got the ball inside Mamoja danger zone and Barny Maiketso reacted quickly to put past the goalkeeper.
