The Botswana Football Association (BFA) has asked Zebras coach, Peter Butler to hold fort as the association’s technical director while a replacement for Ben Kgomela is being sought, Mmegi Sport has learnt.

Kgomela’s contract expires at the end of the month and the BFA is reportedly not keen to renew it.

“I will assist where necessary. I will support where needed as I think we all have to multitask and support the president,” Butler said. A meeting was held between BFA officials and Butler last week to iron out the arrangement. “As you are aware, the technical director’s contract is (coming) to an end. We have asked the senior national team coach (Butler) to assist us on technical matters.
