The Industrial Court has ordered the Botswana Rugby Union (BRU) to pay its former development technical officer, Alecs Basitang P26,300 for unfair dismissal. The payment should be made within 14 days.

Basitang was dismissed in February 2014 and immediately challenged his firing before the Industrial Court where he sought compensation from the BRU.

Basitang was kicked out after showing interest in contesting for elections as BRU secretary general.
