Local boxer Tirafalo Seoko, who won a bronze medal at last year's Commonwealth Games in New Dehli, India, has now been awarded a silver medal while the silver medalist will now get the gold.

This comes after the Sri Lankan boxer, who won gold, was found to have used performance-enhancing drugs. This now means Botswana won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the 'Club' Games.

Botswana Boxing Association (BoBA) spokesperson Willough Kemoen said they were excited about the development and adding that his organisation is totally against the use of drugs. He added that Seoko himself was tested and came out negative. Kemoen said they always keep their athletes up to date with information on banned substances because they want to keep them clean and away from such drugs.
