Bowls step-up preparations with Mafikeng select friendly

The Botswana bowling teams entertain a Mafikeng select side in friendly matches in Jwaneng over the weekend. The games start today and end tomorrow as Botswana prepares for the forthcoming African States Tournament also to be held in Jwaneng.

Botswana Bowling Association (BBA) vice chairperson, John Gaborutwe said this weekend’s friendlies will start with singles and fours for both men and women. The pairs and trips will follow thereafter.

Lebogang Mascarenhas and Timothy Morton will represent the country in the singles. Mascarenhas will partner with Pauline Lekone in the pairs category. Morton and Kitso Robert will play in the men’s pairs while Obopile Ashby, Bonnie Fox and Tirelo Buckley are in the women’s triples team.
