BOTESSA gets green light to host CUCSA games

The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) and the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology have permitted Botswana Tertiary Students Sport Association (BOTESSA) to host next year’s Confederation of University and College Sport Association (CUCSA) games.

This came after CUCSA revoked Angola’s right to host next year’s games due to their silence in response to hosting the games. The CUCSA committee then requested Botswana to replace Angola as hosts. In the beginning of April, BOTESSA committee requested their mother bodies to give them a go-ahead in hosting the games.

BOTESSA spokesperson, Duncan Segabo said they are happy with the positive response. He however said they will face a hard time in a limited period of time to prepare for the games. He said they are working on the budget and other things, which will be submitted to the BNSC.
