Odirile ‘Nigeria’ Pitso scored for Forest in the 33rd minute to send his side straight into the elite league. Forest have now accumulated 44 points. Forest went into the match as favorites after a good result in their last match which saw them clobber Uniao Flamengo Santos 3-0. The side has had a good run this season under coach Murphy Maseko. The tactician joined the side in the first round after they had played four matches. His arrival saw the side maintain an unbeaten run in the first round. The Saturday game started with Boys showing intention to run away with maximum points as they launched attack from the first whistle.

Emmanuel Olerile failed to put Boys in the lead when his attempt hit the crossbar in the 10th minute. The attempt increased the pace of the game as Forest tried to conjure a response. Olerile was back again five minutes later, but luck was not on his side as he hit the crossbar. The two sides continued fighting to prove themselves. The game was much concentrated in the middle of the park. Forest were enjoying more possession of the ball and trying to find a way of breaking Boys defence. They went into the break ahead courtesy of Pitso’s 33rd minute strike.
