BISA hosts zonal competitions

Botswana Integrated Sports Association (BISA) will host the Ball Sports Zonal Finals this weekend and on June 29 and 30 June 2013 for the Junior Secondary Schools and Senior Secondary Schools respectively.

The competitions will be held to select two teams from the eight teams both male and female that will be taking part in each Sport code to represent the zone during the BISA National Finals which will be held in Gaborone on 6, 7 and 8 July for the Junior Secondary Schools and 11, 12 and 13 July for the Senior Secondary Schools.

The competitions will be held in each of the following sport codes, Football, Netball, Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Badminton, Karate, Boxing and Rugby. Each Zone will bring together around 1,800 athletes.The zonal competitions will be held in four different places as follows: North Zone - Francistown, North Central Zone - Mahalapye, South Zone - Lobatse and South Central - Gaborone  BISA publicity secretary, Tebo Segaise said rugby will however have its Zonal selections in two places, namely, Jwaneng for South and South Central and Selebi Phikwe for North and North Central. Meanwhile, The BISA Athletics Team departed at 10:00 am for Czech Republic for the International School Sport Federation Athletic Cup. The competition will he held from June 22 to 27.
