BFA to deliberate on Santos, Rollers feud

The Botswana Football Association (BFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC) is expected to preside over the dispute between Township Rollers and Uniao Flamengo Santos over two players. Mogakolodi Ngele and Thato Bolweleng are at the centre of a wrangle between Rollers and Santos.

Rollers wanted to sign the two players during the off-season but a hit a brick wall as Santos are not willing to sell.Rollers are said to have asked for permission to speak to the two players before the transfer window closed but Santos turned them down.

The players are said to have demanded transfers soon after Santos turned down Rollers' request. This led Santos into believing that the defending league champions are behind the transfer demands.  After the transfers hit a snag, Rollers sought the intervention of the Players Status Committee, which has now referred the matter to the DC. At the time of going to press, the case had not yet reached the DC.  Initially, it had seemed the players will remain at Santos this season after their failed move to Rollers. But in a twist of events last weekend, the players trained with Santos the whole week but missed the clash against Mochudi Centre Chiefs on Sunday.
