Botswana National Font was founded in 1967 after repeated attempts to unite Botswana People's Party (BPP) and Botswana Independence Party (BIP) into one solid party, not to oppose Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), but to take over the reigns of power and develop the country in accordance with the patriotic Pan African path of development, i.e. according not the wishes, choices, interests, cultural norms and was and means of the empowerment of the African people, as against the neo-colonial stance of the Democratic Party.

Botswana National Front (BNF) observed then, that "the section of the petty bourgeoise, which is in power is drawn from the bureaucratic elements - the genesis of the bureaucratic bourgeois, which is the high grade clerks and the rest of the upper middle-class.

As soon as these elements will be established in power, with active support of the imperialists, their lust for power will increase; their corruption and their dependence on neo-colonialism will increase.
