Khama’s message of condolence

On behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Botswana and indeed on my own behalf, I wish to convey to the bereaved families, the school and Kang Community, as well as all Batswana, my heartfelt condolences and sympathies. As a young country, when we lose young lives in such numbers, we feel very strongly that we have been robbed of the future or the promise and potential from these young people.

Whilst this is a very tragic and unfortunate incident to befall us, it is always during such situations that we have shown resolve and resilience as Batswana through our value system of supporting each other during these difficult and trying times.
