UDC yet to establish corruption task force

FRANCISTOWN: The Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) has not yet established a ‘corruption alert’ task force as per resolution taken at its special congress.

The Serowe congress, held in the build-up to the 2014 general elections, had resolved that the UDC executive swiftly set-up a task force on corruption to alert on issues of corruption, its depth, extent and implications while also advising on responses that can be made by the party leadership.

Yesterday, UDC spokesperson Moeti Mohwasa revealed that the party was yet to establish the task force.  “The ‘corruption alert’ task force is among organs we are seriously considering setting up. We are a party that is strongly against corruption and that is why it is vital to have a task force.
