Assistant Minister of Local Government, Botlogile Tshireletso lives in fear of her life after thugs broke into her house at the Parliamentary village stealing her three mobile phones.

The incident occurred on Monday night, she confirmed. She said that apparently the thief broke through one of the windows or doors and went straight to her bedroom where he also searched her handbags but found no money.

"The intruder then scattered my bank cards all over the room and I did not hear anything because I was in deep sleep. I don't know what could have happened had I woken up when he was still in the room.  He was probably going to kill me," Tshireletso said. The intruder left her sim cards. She said that she only learned about the break-in the following morning when her children came to investigate why her phones were off and she found her things scattered around the room. "I am very lucky that I did not wake up when he was still in the room.  We are not safe in this place and I fear that one day they will do worse things," she said, expressing her fear of being raped.
