A one-year-old toddler is fighting for his life in the hospital after being hit by a motor vehicle in Maulane Ward, Mogoditshane, on Saturday afternoon.

Confirming the incident, Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, said police are looking into the case.

He explained that a 64-year-old driver had intended to move the vehicle forward, but mistakenly engaged reverse gear, causing the car to move backward and hit the toddler, who was behind the vehicle.
