Police probe defilement as 13-year-old suffers miscarriage

A 13-year-old girl from Kopong has suffered a miscarriage in the early hours of Saturday, and police are currently investigating the matter. According to the Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, the matter was reported to them on Saturday morning by the girl’s mother.

It is alleged that the teenager began complaining of severe abdominal pains on Friday night whilst they were asleep.

The youngster’s condition reportedly worsened, forcing her family to rush her to Nkoyaphiri Clinic at around 2am on Saturday to seek medical attention.
