A 41-year-old man had a shock of his life when he woke up to find his vehicle burnt to ashes on Saturday morning in Matseta village. The incident has since prompted Mogoditshane police to launch an investigation. Mogoditshane Police Station acting commander, Assistant Superintendent Mompoloki Ramaphoi, said the incident is believed to have occurred during the night.

The car owner had allegedly parked his Mazda Demio on Friday night after returning home from a night out with his girlfriend.

“It is alleged that the couple went to sleep shortly after arriving home, only to wake up in the morning to find the vehicle destroyed by fire,” said Ramaphoi.
