Three people die in road accidents

MOCHUDI: A 30-year-old woman died on Sunday night when the car she was travelling in collided with another vehicle at Bokaa traffic lights along the A1 highway. She is the third person to die in an accident in Mochudi policing area since the beginning of the year.

According to Assistant Superitendent Onthusitse Keitumele, the accident occurred at around 10.30 p.m. The deceased was traveling from Francistown in a Toyota Ipsum model and hit the combi which was crossing the the road to Bokaa village. Investigations continue while the deceased is awaiting postmortem. The police were not in a position to disclose the name of the deceased whom they said originated from Gaborone.

Still in Bokaa, a 38-year-old man died on the spot after he was hit by a car last week. Keitumele said that the accident occurred at Moshabane ward and the deceased has since been buried.
