Suspected wife murderer arrested

PALAPYE: A 36-year-old man alleged to have brutally murdered his wife and fled, appeared before the Letlhakane Magistrates Court on Friday after a long police hunt, the police have confirmed.

Letlhakane police station commander, superintendent Michael Maphephu confirmed the man’s appearance in court to The Monitor. He said the alleged killer, Mogomotsi Legae, tried to escape the ends of justice when he disappeared after allegedly killing his wife in cold blood.

Legae was however arrested at Mabesekwa, 60km west of Francistown after a helicopter search.
